We invite you on the "Como retour" journey, in which we focus on sustainability by minimizing transport distances: simply Como retour.
COMO RETOUR
The distance between Zurich and the Italian city of Como, a place of summer longing, is 250 kilometers - hence Como retour, 500 kilometers. Our fabric is also woven in Como before being sewn into products in Switzerland.
500 kilometers from yarn to product
500 kilometers is also the diameter of the production circle for NET-SWIMWEAR BY ALICE. The Swiss-made collection is produced from recycled fishing nets and nylon waste, known as Econyl yarn, with a focus on minimal transport routes. From the yarn to the finished collection: everything takes place within a 500-kilometer radius in the heart of Europe.
According to the OECD, the movement of goods is responsible for 30% of CO2 emissions from transport. Furthermore, a fourfold increase is forecast by 2050, even though transport emissions would need to drop drastically to meet the Paris climate goals. A sustainable supply chain and regional consumption are important tools for advancing sustainability in the transport of goods as well.
A transport distance of 500 kilometers covered by a diesel-powered car results in emissions of 0.2 tons of CO2. A one-way flight from Zurich to Beijing produces 1.3 tons of CO2 – resulting in 6.5 times the exhaust emissions. That is more than one-third of the average annual CO2 emissions of a Swiss citizen. Only if all aspects of goods production are taken into account will we succeed in preserving our planet and its valuable resources.

NEW COLORS NET-SUIT «VERZASCA» AND NET-SHORTS «MAGGIA»
The Net-Suit Verzasca is now available in six different colors; in addition to the previous colors Black Coal, Cobalt Blue, and Copper, the colors Aubergine, Olive, and Poppy Field have been added. The Net-Shorts Maggia also get an update with the colors Aubergine and Cobalt Blue.
