FROM THE LINTH GLACIER: THE JOURNEY OF OUR ERRATIC BLOCK

We believe that personal experiences leave a lasting impression on people. For this reason, we have made space in our showroom for the "Findling" (erratic boulder) object. It is, in fact, a genuine erratic boulder from the Linth plain: a stone transported by the Linth Glacier. It is a symbol of sustainability and climate change. However, the boulder is also a symbol of our connection to our origins in the Linth plain. This fundamental and calm rock can be admired and touched in our showroom. The boulder, made of Quinten limestone, also known as Alpine limestone, weighs 3.21 tons and is 140 to 160 million years old. The Linth Glacier retreated 12,000 years ago, leaving behind, among other things, Lake Zurich. The object was created in collaboration with the Zurich-based industrial designer and artist Miguel Lauper.
