A SHOWCASE OF DURABILITY IN THE SHOWROOM

Sustainability – we hear this term so often, but what does it stand for and what does it mean for NEUMÜHLE? At the heart of our work lies circularity. We consider products not only in their first and second life cycles, but also think beyond their end. For us, sustainability means: designing responsibly, thinking for longevity, respecting resources.

The Glacial Stone – A Symbol of Origin and Future
In our Zurich showroom, we created a powerful symbol with the glacial stone. Together with Zurich-based designer and artist Miguel Lauper, we staged the seemingly inconspicuous stone as an object. Transported by the Linth Glacier around 12,000 years ago, its traces still shape our landscape today – they even formed Lake Zurich. The 3.21-ton block of Quintner limestone, 140–160 million years old, stands for sustainability, climate change, and our connection to the Linth plain, our place of origin.
